Being a good sponsor for a new member is vital in keeping that member!  The Sponsor Guide will give a first-time sponsor information on how to achieve this goal.

Altrusa International also has a Sponsor Initiate Program (read more about it below) to recognize those Altrusan who have given the gift of Altrusa to those in their community.

Sponsor Initiative Program - 

Each year since 2009, Altrusa International recognizes Altrusans who sponsor a new member by giving them numerical pins that indicate how many new members that Altrusan has sponsored. This is a cumulative number beginning in 2009, but a higher number pin is only given when that total number increases during the previous year.

The pins are given in increments of two, so a member who sponsors three new members will keep their “2” pin until they sponsor a 4^th new member, then they will receive a “4” pin the following year at conference.

Altrusans who sponsor 10 new members receive a gold pin and gemstones are added for every additional 10 members that Altrusan sponsors.
