Do you or your club have a proposal for a change or addition to the Bylaws of Altrusa International, a resolution, or a recommendation?
District Nine is now accepting proposals for consideration at the 2027 District Nine Conference, scheduled for April 2027.
Who May Submit a Proposal?
District officers, District committee chairs, Past Governors, Clubs, and individual members are invited to submit proposals.

Deadline: December 31, 2026
Proposal Requirements - Each proposal should include:
- Background and rationale – Explain the history and reason for the proposed change.
- Implementation date – State when the proposed change would take effect.
- Related provisions – Identify any other bylaws, policies, resolutions, or recommendations that would be affected.
- Fiscal impact – Identify any financial impact, if applicable.
- Suggested motion – Provide the specific motion for consideration.
What Happens to Submitted Proposals?
Proposals submitted by the deadline will be included in the 2027 Call to Conference, which will be available in January 2027. This will give all District Nine members an opportunity to review the proposals and discuss them with their clubs before the conference.
If you or your club would like to submit one or more proposals for consideration by the voting delegation at the 2027 District Nine Conference, please email your proposal(s) to District Nine BRR Chair no later than December 31, 2026.
Conference delegates will be responsible for representing their clubs during voting on these proposals. Proposals approved at the 2027 District Nine Conference will then be submitted to Altrusa International for consideration at the 2027 International Convention.
