Welcome to Altrusa of The Chisholm Trail

Altrusa is an international non-profit organization, making our local communities better through leadership, partnership, and service. We strive to create better communities worldwide.  Altrusa is made up of civic-minded people who find great joy in enhancing the lives of others.  We welcome the involvement of new members who want to advance their skills, meet new friends, volunteer along with community leaders, or simply want to add meaningful new experiences to their lives.  Contact us to find out more about becoming an Altrusa leader.

FOSTER LOVE OF BELL COUNTY
LOVE & SAFETY

Members of Altrusa of The Chisholm Trail joined together to support Foster Love of Bell County (https://linktr.ee/fosterlovebellco) through our Love & Safety project made possible by a grant from Altrusa International. The Love & Safety project focused on providing educational information on home safety (English/Spanish) and providing families with critical safety items including locked medication boxes, fire extinguishers, smoke detectors; as well as restocking their Love Closet with much needed toiletries for infants through adults!

CAMP DREAMCATCHER

Each year, Altrusa of The Chisholm Trail supports Altrusa of Temple in the Camp Dreamcatcher registration and send-off event. Camp Dreamcatcher is a camp that allows children with cancer and their siblings to enjoy a normal summer camp experience at Camp for All in Burton, Texas, while receiving specialized medical care.

Camp Dreamcatcher serves all Baylor Scott & White McLane Children's pediatric hematology/oncology patients and siblings between the ages of 6 and 15. Approximately 95 to 105 children attend each year.

The Chisholm Trail Altrusans volunteer their time and passion to make this send-off event fun and memorable for the campers and their families. The theme for 2024 was Super Heroes and The Chisolm Trail Altrusans helped the campers commemorate the start of their camp with a super-hero themed photo booth!
