We are delighted that you are interested in learning more about Altrusa International. Altrusa is an international non-profit who has provided service to our communities since our formation in 1917. Altrusa’s focus is literacy, but explores all ways to improve our communities. Our projects may include scholarships for higher education, reading and literacy programs for children and adults, support for the homeless, feeding our hungry both locally and internationally, and so much more. We strive to make our local clubs inclusive to all in our community and welcome all individuals who want to make service to others a part of their life. Interested in possibly becoming an Altrusan?
In the state of Texas, we have clubs from the panhandle to the gulf coast. If there is not a club in your local area, we do have a program to allow you to join an existing club electronically.
