The Officers for the District Nine 2023-2025 Board will be elected at the District Nine Conference in April 2023. Serving on the District Nine Board is interesting and rewarding. You are encouraged to make nominations, including self-nominations, to fill the board that will serve with Shirley Raymer, Governor 2023-2025, in service to Altrusa at the District Nine level. 

 

Governor-Elect, First Vice Governor, Second Vice Governor, Treasurer, Director (two directors serve each biennium).  

Note that the Parliamentarian and the Secretary are appointed by the Governor. Some positions may be double or triple slated at the discretion of the Nominating Committee.    No special form is required for nominations.  Forward a letter explaining your nomination as instructed below.   Before nominating someone, please be sure this Altrusan is willing to serve.

All information for nominees, including pictures, must be submitted to the editor of the News of the Mighty Ninth by December 1.

(d) No more than two (2) elected officers shall be from the same Club during any term.

 

To be eligible for election to the District Office, members must be, at the time of the nomination and election an active member in good standing. To be eligible for election to the office of Governor-Elect, the candidate shall have previously served a full term as a member of the District Board.

 

To be eligible for election to any District Office other than treasurer, a person must have completed a full term as Club President or be serving as Club President at the time of the election.

 

To be eligible for District Treasurer, a person must have completed a full term as Club President or Club Treasurer or be serving as the same at the time of the election and must have general accounting knowledge or experience.
