On Thursday, March 17, 2022, Ukraine San Antonio, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, collected critical medical supplies. Supplies will be shipped to Ukraine to help save the lives of those injured in the war zone. With a monetary donation and providing helping hands, Altrusa San Antonio came to their aid.As the war rages on, the Ukrainian people need our help to survive the Russian incursion. Ukraine San Antonio has partnered with other United States-based and Ukrainian-based organizations to collect and procure medical and humanitarian aid to their fellow Ukrainians. They have held several medical supplies drives in the San Antonio and Austin areas. Today, Altrusa San Antonio came to help support their efforts with a monetary donation and provided helping hands to transport medical supplies from vehicles to the collection truck.
Ukraine San Antonio is a non-profit organization that preserves and promotes a greater understanding of Ukrainian history and culture. They support Ukrainian, American, and international organizations for educational and charitable purposes. Currently, only medical supplies are being collected. Once the United States grants refugee status to fleeing Ukrainians, additional support will be needed to assist in resettlement efforts.
