What is an “Accent?”
The Altrusa Encyclopedia defines an "Altrusa Accent" as a two-minute presentation at a Club meeting that covers such items as:
  • news on an upcoming International or District event,
  • new Altrusa materials,
  • Altrusa historical highlights, or
  • bylaw and policy changes.
Many clubs have an accent presented at each meeting, others include accents in their newsletters.

The Learning Team has developed a publication full of informative Accents by Altrusans throughout District Nine on a variety of topics. You are welcome to use these in your club meetings as you wish, but we encourage you to research topics on your own for club accents as well.  The team is continually adding new information to the document and members are invited to send an accent to us to be included in the publication.
