DISTRICT NINE AWARDS AND REPORTS FOR 2020-2021

As the 2020-2021 club year comes to a close, it is time to share the stories of the projects conducted and impact they made on your community. 

All clubs in District Nine are encouraged to submit award entries for service, literacy, and international relations projects, and for communications and yearbooks awards, as well as the Club Annual Report to qualify for the Distinguished Club Award. Entries need to be sent to the appropriate committee chairmen by the dates indicated. Entries will be judged and awards presented at the 2022 Conference.

To the left are the instructions and template for the service, literacy and international relations awards. 

  • The "Instruction" pdf provides the background and details for each award. 
  • The "Template" is a word document to assist with the submission process.   

Simple Tips to assist you in completing the synopsis and project description sections using the award entry template: 

  1. Open two new Word documents. Type the synopsis (60-word limit) and project description (1,000-word limit) into the separate Word documents. 
  2. Verify the word count. 
  3. Copy and paste into the appropriate box within the entry template (see page 3 of 4 of template).

THE EDITH DeBUSK PRESIDENT’S AWARD recognizes outstanding club presidents and their leadership during their term of office. Entry is a copy of the President’s annual report given to the club in May PLUS a copy of the CLUB ANNUAL REPORT. A cover sheet and information are available on the District website at districtnine.altrusa.org.

CLUB COMMUNICATIONS AWARD  

recognizes clubs whose exemplary efforts in club communications keep their members informed and excited about their club. It is based on the quality and content of information, and how informative and useful it is to club members. A submission sheet and detailed instructions can be found on the District website at districtnine.altrusa.org.

SUE R. POWELL PERFECT ATTENDANCE AWARDS are given to individual members whose names have been submitted to the District Secretary indicating that they have attained Perfect Attendance during the club year. Criteria for achieving Perfect Attendance may be found on the District Nine website at districtnine.altrusa.org.
