2025 - 2026 Board Members for our Club and Foundation
Five of us—Frances, Mary, Kathleen, Rachael, and D'Anna
traveled to Quebec City for the 2025
Altrusa International Convention, “Rocking the Tartan.” Along the way, we enjoyed seeing
Niagara Falls from both the U.S. and Canadian sides. With 340 Altrusans in attendance,
including 49 from District Nine, the convention was full of inspiration, fellowship, and
celebration. We were proud to be named a Distinguished Club for both years of the biennium,
and I had the honor of carrying our banner in the Parade of Banners. Keynote speakers included
Rachel Hollingsworth and Tim Suter, who now leads Make a Difference DKC, a nonprofit
fighting world hunger. Workshops on literacy partnerships and celebrating UN Days gave us
practical new service ideas. We ended the week with the lively Canadian Flare/Rocking the
Tartan event, where we even tried poutine—Frances’s favorite!
